Skip has been diagnosed with a roar but is fine for light to moderate trail riding, lessons, ect. I spoke at length with the vets that have examined him (Dr. Harvey and Dr. McClendon who scoped him). They both said he should be fine for anything except extreme sports that would require all out running or extreme exertion. His current owner has ridden him quiet a bit on trails and was unaware that he had this. Has not had any problem with shortness of breath. I rode him on 2 hour ride at McIntosh Reserve yesterday and he did great. Really enjoyed walking though the deep creeks. The bridges didn't bother him at all. Was happy to lead or follow. 	Memo:	Decreto (aka Pistol) has a beautiful paso gait and a nice lope with both leads. Loves attention. Lots of fun to ride. His papers show him as a bay but the marking are correct and he is certainly 100 % paso. His father was gray and it is not unlikely at all for a horse to gray out. He is genetically tested (DNAed). Pistol is a beautiful mover with very comfortable gaits but he does require more than a beginner rider. Was spooky in traffic. Will move some with mounting. Please keep in mind that he hasn't been ridden in over 8 months when he came in to us. We rode him for about 5 min the day he arrived before turning him out to gain some weight and get his vaccinations updated. Then 3 weeks later, we brought him to the main farm and did the following videos. Has a very sweet personality and likes to bond with anyone who will spend a few minutes with him. He loads/unloads and bathes easily. Easy to catch. Loves attention. May have showmanship/halter experience...very well trained in hand. Pivots, backs, ect. with very minimal cues. Anyway you want Reuben (my son) has entered a partnership with his father/my husband on Tia. Reuben is going to fine tune her over the next few months and then will offer her for sale (unless he just can't bare to part with her!) Reuben said Tia is "perfect" now and he's ready for a new project. He did a fantastic job of tuning her up. He catches her by himself in the pasture, hops on with a halter and rides. He rode her all over the farm, giving his young friend (4 yr old) lessons on her, rode her double, done everything but ride her in the house (I wouldn't allow it!). She also owns Herman. Journey is a good trail horse and even though his owner hasn't been able to ride the last couple of years, the neighborhood kids have been delighted to keep him in shape riding him. He neckreins and sidepasses although he is rusty on the sidepassing. Wonderful trot and lope. One of gentlest and calmest horses we have ran across. I love just going to the pasture to visit with him as done Reuben. I often find him out there just walking and talking with Clyde. Rides very quiet and gentle. Picks up all his hooves with a mere pointing at the desired hoof. Lots of love to give! Jilly has a lot more trail experience than he does ring and seems much happier out on the trails. He was very dirty when we made these photos and it was too cold to wash him. Groomed him as best we could. He's got a nice layer of dirt along both sides of his back that looks like dark hair. We'll get better photos soon. Is definitely a favorite of ours! Babe is being offered to a good home only. We had planned to keep her in our lesson program but Reuben has talked me into keeping a gelding that he has fallen in love with. We have used her for 3 to 4 lessons a week for the last 4 months without any difficulty. We felt like she had some mild arthritis in her right hock but it may have been a kick or something. She not had any lameness issues at all with the lessons. Most likely has responded well to a daily small amount of MSM added to her feed.
